Lilian is an associate in the Financial Restructuring and Insolvency Practice of White & Case. Her practice focuses on representing creditors, debtors, and other interested parties in cross-border insolvency proceedings, Chapter 11 cases, out-of-court restructurings, and related transactions and disputes.
Prior to joining the Firm, Lilian practiced in New York, where she represented creditors in Chapter 11 cases as well as clients in litigation and international arbitration cases. She also has several years of experience in Brazil, where she worked on bankruptcy and restructuring matters, as a law firm associate and as the founder of a judicial administration firm, which was appointed by local courts to monitor restructuring and insolvency proceedings and to oversee the businesses and operations of distressed companies.
Lilian received an LLM from New York University in 2019 and was a bankruptcy research assistant to Honorable Judge Arthur J. Gonzalez. Lilian has received the best thesis award from Fundação Getúlio Vargas for her thesis on the interplay between bankruptcy and mediation/negotiation.
