Biography

Overview

Domenik Mack is an associate in the Firm's Capital Markets group in Frankfurt.

Domenik advises corporates and investment banks in the context of banking and capital markets matters. This includes debt and equity capital markets transactions as well as hybrid bond issuances (including convertible bonds).

Furthermore, he advises on structured notes, digital bonds as well as exchange traded products and exchange traded funds. Domenik has also acquired experience in regulatory matters, including the MiCA regulation and MiFID II.

Prior to joining White & Case as an associate, Domenik worked with the team as a trainee lawyer. He developed his knowledge as a trainee lawyer in the capital markets team of an international law firm in Frankfurt and gained further in-house expertise at a leading global healthcare company.

Experience

Berlin Hyp
Advised Berlin Hyp AG on the issuance of a blockchain-based mortgage Pfandbrief, the first issuance of a digital mortgage Pfandbrief by a bank. The Pfandbrief with an aggregate principal amount of EUR 100 million was issued as a crypto security under the German Electronic Securities Act (eWpG).

Advised a banking consortium on the issuance by Berlin Hyp AG of two tranches of fixed rate Mortgage Pfandbriefe with an aggregate principal amount of EUR 1.5 billion. The first tranche with a principal amount of EUR 1 billion and the second tranche issued as green mortgage Pfandbriefe with a principal amount of EUR 500 million.

EnBW
Advised EnBW Group on the issuance of two tranches of bonds with an aggregate principal amount of EUR 1.5 billion. The notes were issued by EnBW International Finance B.V. and guaranteed by EnBW Energie Baden-Württemberg AG. The first tranche has a principal amount of EUR 500 million. The second tranche was issued as Green Bond with a principal amount of EUR 1 billion.

Advised EnBW Group on the issuance of Green bonds with a principal amount of EUR 1.2 billion. The bonds have been issued in two tranches and are guaranteed by EnBW Baden-Württemberg AG.

Deutsche Lufthansa
Advised Deutsche Lufthansa AG on the issuance of an unsecured hybrid bond with a total value of EUR 500 million. The hybrid bond has a term of 30 years with a first issuer call date after six years.

Knorr-Bremse
Advised a consortium of banks on a EUR 1.1 billion dual tranche bond by Knorr-Bremse AG, the second tranche of which was issued as a Green Bond with an aggregate principal amount of EUR 500 million.

METRO
Advised the joint bookrunners on a EUR 600 million bond issue by Metro AG.

OMV
Advised a consortium of banks on the issuance of two tranches of fixed rate notes of OMV Aktiengesellschaft with an aggregate principal amount of EUR 1 billion.

UniCredit
Advised the joint lead managers on the issuance of EUR 500 million mortgage covered bonds under the EUR 10 billion mortgage covered bond programme of UniCredit Bank Czech Republic and Slovakia, a.s.
