Global law firm White & Case LLP has advised Jefferies and Bryan Garnier, as Joint Global Coordinators and Joint Bookrunners, on a private placement financing by Valneva.
The equity financing included the issuance by Valneva, a specialty vaccine company that develops, manufactures and commercializes prophylactic vaccines for infectious diseases, of a total of 23 million new ordinary shares which were admitted to trading on the regulated market of Euronext Paris.
Valneva intends to use the proceeds from the private placement primarily to fund the continuing development of its clinical programmes, further commercialization expenditures, pre-clinical research and development activities and for general corporate purposes.
The White & Case team which advised on the transaction was led by partners Philippe Herbelin (Paris) and Michael Immordino (London & Milan) and included counsel Bree Peterson (London) and associates Adrien Dumoulin-Smith and Charlotte Wright (both Paris).
