Global law firm White & Case LLP has advised Ruby Equity Investment, an investment vehicle that is part of the EP Equity Investment group controlled by Czech entrepreneur and businessman Daniel Křetínský, on the launch of the voluntary tender offer for all ordinary shares in Unieuro S.p.A., a leading distributor of consumer electronics and household appliances in Italy.
Ruby will act as joint offeror with Fnac-Darty SA, a European leader in the consumer electronics distribution market. The offer will be settled in cash and Fnac-Darty shares, valuing Unieuro at approximately €250 million.
The White & Case team that advised on the transaction included partners Ferigo Foscari (Milan) and Michael Immordino (London & Milan), local partner Alessandro Picchi and associate Edoardo Avato (both Milan).
