Global law firm White & Case LLP has advised Barclays, J.P. Morgan, Goldman Sachs and HSBC, as joint global co-ordinators and joint bookrunners, on the £216 million share placing by SSP Group plc on the Premium Segment of the London Stock Exchange – the first coronavirus-related fundraise in the UK.
“As the legal, regulatory and commercial implications of COVID-19 continue to evolve, we are increasingly likely to see companies taking creative steps to bolster their balance sheets,” said White & Case partner Jonathan Parry, who co-led the Firm’s deal team. “Our team has supported a significant transaction – helping SSP Group access the market in the UK’s first coronavirus-related fundraise.”
UK-based SSP Group plc is a leading operator of food and beverage outlets in travel locations worldwide.
The White & Case team in London which advised on the transaction was led by partners Jonathan Parry and Laura Sizemore and included associates Bob Lehner and Sam Curme.
