White & Case Advises Gopher Investments on Acquisition of Finalto from Playtech plc for US$250 million

Global law firm White & Case LLP has advised Gopher Investments, an investment vehicle backed by investors with experience in gaming and financials and an affiliate of TT Bond Partners, on its acquisition of Finalto from Playtech plc for US$250 million.
"This transaction perfectly combines our shareholder activism practice and public company expertise," said White & Case partner Tom Matthews, who led the Firm's deal team. "With around 90 lawyers involved from 11 offices, this deal also demonstrates the Firm's truly global M&A capabilities."
Playtech is the world's largest online gambling software supplier and is a FTSE 250 company listed on the London Stock Exchange. Finalto is Playtech's financial trading division, focusing on both B2B and B2C channels. Gopher Investments is a 4.97 percent shareholder in Playtech.
Completion of the transaction is expected in the first half of 2022, subject to shareholder approval and regulatory clearances.
