White & Case advises lenders on debt and equity financing of insurance demerger creating Fidelis MGU

Global law firm White & Case LLP has advised Blackstone, Oak Hill and Barings, as lenders, on the combined debt and equity financing of a structured insurance demerger of Fidelis Insurance Holdings Limited and the existing insurance companies, the Fidelis Insurance Group.

The transaction creates a new Bermuda-based managing general underwriter, Fidelis MGU.

Fidelis Insurance Holdings Limited is a specialist insurer and reinsurer backed with long-standing industry relationships and more than 30 years of underwriting, risk management, claims and actuarial knowledge.
