In its tenth annual ceremony, held virtually on June 24, the Women in Business Law Awards Europe honored White & Case five times for the accomplishments of its women lawyers working in Europe and the Firm's continued commitment to their success.
White & Case won the following firm awards at the ceremony:
- Minority Women Lawyers, International Firm of the Year
- International Pro Bono Firm of the Year
- Work-life balance, International Firm of the Year
In addition, White & Case partner Strati Sakellariou-Witt (Brussels) was named Competition & Antitrust Lawyer of the Year, and partner Clara Hainsdorf (Paris) was named Privacy & Data Protection Lawyer of the Year.
"These wins reflect our continuing success at recruiting, developing and promoting women lawyers," said Carina Radford (London), head of the White & Case Global Women’s Initiative. "White & Case has been consistently recognized among the top firms for inclusion of women lawyers for more than a decade and that makes me very proud."
Established in 2009, White & Case's partner-led Global Women's Initiative promotes and ensures meaningful increases in the percentage of women in partnership and leadership roles. This effort is supported by the grassroots activities of local women's networks.
A project of Euromoney Legal Media Group, the annual Women in Business Law Awards recognize women lawyers "for their contributions to the practice of business law along with the firms that have developed the most progressive initiatives towards diversity and inclusion from throughout the continent," according to Euromoney Legal Media Group. Winners are determined by senior Euromoney Legal Media Group editorial staff following an extensive research process.
